Inspired by the landscape and culture of the Mediterranean island of Corsica, de Maquis is an artist-owned & run cooperative, born from the love of designing and crafting jewelry. We strive to consciously create meaningful pieces that will last the wearer a lifetime, reduce fashion waste, and encourage collective empowerment and worker-ownership. We specialize in original, small-batch, and one-of-a-kind pieces made from brass, stainless steel, and gold-coated metals featuring natural & semi-precious stones. Pieces are handmade, assembled, or constructed by the artist, in residence, in nature, or in travel between the Pacific Northwest (USA) and the island of Corsica in the Mediterranean.
