About UmmPixies

Bright joyful design that's good for the soul and kind to the planet. All available as homewares, stationery and accessories for the light of heart of all ages. Paula (the illustrator, designer and sewing fiend behind UmmPixies) creates her designs with smiles in mind and produces them in small batches on organic cotton and recycled paper stocks. Paula started out as a Middle Eastern archaeologist and trained in the drawing of archeological finds and sites. More recently she has turned her attention to illustrating the little things in life that make her smile. Combining these drawings with her lifelong love of colour and pattern - and some IT skills she picked up along the way - she creates her distinctive vibrant patterns. The name UmmPixies combines her love of the arabic language (Umm is arabic for mother) with her love for her children (the pixies). Whilst living in the Middle East when the pixies were small she finally had more time for creativity and UmmPixies (mother of Pixies) came to life. Read their story
