Shri Bark snacks are oat + seed + fruit squares that help fund free yoga outreach programs to 8,500+ yoga students every year. Shri began in 2010, when Alison Bologna, a local television news anchor in Rhode Island, opened Shri Studio in downtown Pawtucket, a city struggling during the economic crisis, to help serve her immediate community with low-cost and free yoga classes. While she taught in the studio, her better half, spent his time baking snacks in their apartment down the street. Soon, people started asking them: “Where do I buy these?” So the two decided to try them out at a yogathon fundraiser, raising dollars for their 501(c)3 nonprofit arm, Shri Service Corps. Within a few weeks, the demand for the snacks dictated the need to go from their home kitchen to a nut-free commercial bakery, and since then, sales have been growing. All year long, a portion of Shri Bark sales allows the team to operate skilled yoga outreach programs for free in schools, veteran centers, shelters, hospitals, recovery centers, social service agencies for adults with disabilities - and more! To date, Shri is serving more than 8,500 students every year by helping them reduce toxic stress and build more balanced communities (physical and emotional) thanks to sales from the country’s only “KARMA-PACKED SNACK!"
