About Cake Club

Cake Club started with one simple truth: life’s too short for meh cake. Back in the day, Marco was happily brewing coffees and building communities in independent cafés. But while the coffee was top notch, the cakes were not. Either they were eye wateringly expensive, the same cookie cutter bakes found in the big chains, or just plain underwhelming. Marco wanted better - and so did coffee shops like his. So he teamed up with Lize, a seriously talented chef with Michelin starred credentials and a serious love of cake. Together, they dreamt up a collection of bakes that would turn every counter into a showstopper. The early days were scrappy in the best way. A small, shared kitchen in Battersea. Marco juggling customer service, logistics and deliveries. Lize baking up a storm. But word travels fast when the cake is this good. Soon Cake Club grew beyond its humble beginnings, partnering with a large bakery to keep up with demand while freeing up Lize to focus on developing her next delicious bakes.Read their story
