Hi, I'm The Pillow Lady! I started making handmade lumbar throw pillows in my studio apartment back in 2014, using the kitchen counter as my workspace. I have a Bachelors Degree in Apparel & Textiles, but was too afraid to take a sewing class during college. I taught myself how to sew by watching YouTube videos during a freezing North Dakota winter and instantly fell in love with product design. I hand-painted a bunch of personalized last name pillows for all my friends who were getting married that year and orders just kept coming in! Now, I design and sublimation print custom lumbar throw pillows, tea towels and tote bags in my home studio; often with my two little boys keeping me company. I love creating our waffle knit tea towels, lumbar pillows, and canvas tote bags with your zip codes, custom cities, and fun quotes! Bringing handmade charm into stores is so much fun for me.
