Elgiva London. Founded in Autumn 2023 by me, Georgiana Pike; it came about because of my passion for unearthing outstanding, yet elusive essential luxuries. This transcendent Provencal lavender oil is an amazing undiluted essential oil and was discovered ofter a dogged pursuit across Provence (almost two and a half times the size of Wales). This particular variation, a lavandula hybrida, was developed by one family two generations ago and the unmistakeable aroma is unlike any other lavender oil. The farmers, who eschew pesticides, use a traditional distillation method to extract the essential oil from the lavandula hybrida. A fragrant delight, now beautifully and sustainably packaged in very dark purple glass reusable bottles. When added to a pillow, diffuser, oil burner, bath or any other aromatic agent it relaxes and envelops a home in an incredible, lingering lavender bouquet. Moreover, a bath with Elgiva does wonders for aches and pains. Aside from its aromatic properties, it is extremely versatile with a plethora of other practical uses: add to the softener compartment of your washing machine and your laundry will have a distinct lavender-fresh scent and you can safely spray it directly onto clean wool, cashmere and tweed to deter moths. The range now includes hand-made, boxed, lavender sachets in two sizes with a pretty cotton, removable, washable cover. These are for drawers, hangers, suitcase, pillow and living and use the flowers from the same plants.Read their story
