About Purple Girl Designs

Purple Girl Designs didn't happen overnight. It's been a journey that I continue to this day! I grew up in Los Angeles, CA where my Daddy was a jeweler in downtown. While I had little interest in jewelry making I always cherished the time I spent with him at work on the weekends. Fast forward a decade or so of working corporate jobs and a cross-country move to Charlotte, NC to follow my passion of racing and motorsports. It was then that I started to feel the itch for a creative outlet away from my 9-5. So I started making necklaces, bracelets and earrings for friends, family and co-workers. At the time I was designing colorful, fun pieces that brought me tons of joy! But my journey and the story of Purple Girl Designs really starts in 2012 when, by chance, I connected on a spiritual level with a new found friend. I absorbed everything about meditation, spirituality, mindfulness, gemstones and their properties and values. I am the "Purple Girl" because purple is my favorite color...but really because of amethyst and it's very strong message. Amethyst is all about Love, Joy and Compassion! And that's the message I want to share with everyone I meet.
