About Soft Corner

Soft Corner is a line of modern accessories, made by hand on small island Maine. Our pieces are practical statements—ultra-light and easy to wear thanks to lightweight clay and findings--inspired by design movements, color, the ambiguously femme, and the world we see everyday outside our door. We like our designs simple, clean, and modern. What started as a personal project in mid-2018 has transformed over the last three years into our signature, minimal, ultra-wearable collections of jewelry and (soon) home goods. Soft Corner is a one-person brand--run by self-taught maker, Katie Tiehen. Other than always having her hands in clay, Katie is also a farmer-florist and outdoor lover. Based within Acadia National Park in Maine, she does her best to take advantage of every opportunity for a swim, hike, ski, and ocean adventure, and closes the shop during the summer to focus on flower farming and a busy wedding season. Jewelry is made from polymer clay and resin--and always made using sterling-or gold-filled findings at any point that touches the ear. Read their story
