About Languages with Maddy

I’m an author, illustrator and linguist. I have dedicated my life to foreign languages - studying them, teaching them and now writing books for others to learn them. I truly believe we can all be linguists. My language learning method in my books is to teach only the essential language in bite-size chunks, while making it as colourful as possible. Learning a language with my books is enjoyable and achievable. I am a self taught illustrator. I’ve been illustrating for over 10 years now and it still remains one of my biggest passions. Before starting to illustrate my books, I illustrated educational flashcards for my small Etsy business. Over the years I’ve experimented with different styles, but the recurring themes in my illustration work are cute, simple and fun. Just like with languages, the more you practise, the better you get.
