Malaika Living — we want to enrich your modern lifestyle with unique products made from special African fabrics and other natural materials. It all began with a move and a new home decor. We suddenly saw a picture painted by hand, which had accompanied me all my life so far, in the new environment with completely different eyes. Everyone who came found it beautiful and unique, as did we. That's what it is. It is unique. This is how the search for the history and diversity of this so-called mud cloth tradition began on a spring evening in 2020. On this journey of discovery through Africa, I began to rediscover this diverse continent for myself. The light, the colors, the people. I was born there myself as the daughter of a doctor in development aid and a mother from Uganda, but have lived in Germany since childhood. All fabrics are handmade, so are the products, often individual pieces or pieces of art - and they are always something very special. It is our wish to make you happy with our products.
