Broadlands Pottery was founded in December 2012 by Cheryl Haines. After studying ceramics and art at School/College Cheryl went on to have a career in Hospitality and raised a family but continued to dabble in her love of working with clay. Seeing an opportunity at a local craft market she attended her first ever event in Gloucester Quays selling Christmas decorations, Keyrings and Money boxes with her sister Sharon. From there Broadlands Pottery was born taking inspiration for the name from her home which is named Broadlands. From a small, converted stables in the garden Cheryl and Sharon set about making more items, set up a Facebook page and attended markets in 2013 where they began to meet customers and get feedback and requests for items. Since then the business has gone from strength to strength and not only do we attend events all over the UK we also supply over 80 small independent shops from the top of Scotland to the Channel Isles. Sharon continues to work for Cheryl, and she also employs Wendy, Sophie and Penny who assist her in the business and her dad Alan is also an integral part of Broadlands. We pride ourselves on making high quality, handmade ceramic gifts that you will love to give to family and friends. We also create varied bespoke items for our customers.
