We are 3 "honey boys" from Kristiansand who are very fond of honey and want to make a difference. Maybe you have noticed that there are fewer bees and insects than before? Bees are very important to us humans. They account for 1/3 of our food production. Therefore, we want to work actively to prevent bee deaths. To do this in the best way, we have identified a need for more beekeepers, more research and knowledge. When you choose our honey, the profit goes to the following: Strengthen knowledge about bees and bee deaths in Norway and the world. We believe it is important to put this on the agenda to identify what we can do to prevent this. Provide free insect hotel and bee-friendly plant seeds for the garden. One of the reasons why bees disappear can be spraying of agriculture and deforestation. The bees lose their natural habitat. If all Norwegian homes had had insect hotels and planted bee-friendly plants, this would have helped. Recruit young beekeepers. The average age of beekeepers in Norway is currently high. Where should we get honey from when these give way? We must focus on the young. Therefore, young people under the age of 35 can apply to us for a funded beekeeping course. In addition, we will assist with guidance through the start-up.
