Since 2009, the Lyon-based brand SKIMP has been reinventing everyday objects to make them FUN, INGENIOUS & OFFENCE.SKIMP is above all a story about adventure and travel. Have you ever heard of the famous plastic belts in all colors? Watch the next time you're at the airport, on a golf course, on a boat, or on the ski slope... Surely you will meet one of them! For the more curious, here is how it all began: “The day before I left for a business trip to Japan, I decided to wear my beautiful crocodile belt that I had just received for my birthday. On D-day, during a very short flight to Frankfurt and yet another security check, I had to take off everything again: shoes, watch, belt... 5 minutes before boarding ended and panicking at the thought of missing my flight, I totally forgot my famous belt on the checkpoint ferry... Disgusted at the bottom of my seat, the idea of a metal-free belt made only of plastic and suitable for passengers seemed obvious. Goodbye beep, waste time getting dressed, hello the envious looks of other travelers and the amused smile of the controllers.
