Our Story: How Love, Libby Soaps Began In 2023, the Wade family welcomed Libby, a sweet and gentle goat, to be a companion for their pet goat, Bay. After weeks of searching and driving over an hour to pick her up, they finally met Libby at a gas station. As they lifted her into the back of their SUV, the previous owner casually mentioned—“Oh, and she’s still producing milk.” Andrea’s son lit up. The idea of having a milking goat sparked a new sense of excitement, and from that moment, a whole new journey began. At first, the family experimented with making goat cheese. But it was a request from Andrea’s oldest child that nudged them in a new direction: “Can we try making soap?” That first batch of goat milk soap lit a spark. Soon after, Andrea shared the experience with her friend Amy, who was instantly hooked. Amy, passionate about pure, natural ingredients in the products she brings into her home, joined Andrea for the next soap-making session. By the time the last bar was poured, they were already dreaming up their next batch—and their next chapter. With Andrea’s love for animals and creating from scratch, and Amy’s heart for clean, natural living, the two friends turned their shared passion into a small business. Within weeks, Love, Libby Soaps was born—named in honor of the goat who started it all.Read their story
