Once upon a time: Lover of history & conviviality Josine, who could not imagine that not the whole of the Netherlands knew that Goeie Mie 'The Leiden Poison Mister' is the most successful serial killer in history. And then: In 2019, we thought it would be cool to distill a historical story with a wink into an organic drink, so we started with 'Good Mie gin' first! “I didn't know history was so much fun” This quote is not ours, because we knew it, of course, but from a visitor to the Leiden Gin Festival in 2019, and now we make spirits with a good story, with a wink based on notorious figures from Dutch history. Goeie Mie 'the Leiden Poison Mixer' is based on the largest poison mixer in the world, and we also adapt the recipe to our namesakes: Goeie Mie contains the classic' toxins' elderberry, elderflower and Snow White's apple. But there is more to tell & drink: we are now working on the story (and recipe) of double spy Mata Hari. In addition to gin, we will expand to rum, vodka and 0.0.
