No Books Were Harmed is the brainchild of Jo, a self-taught designer and full-time creator based in Moray, Scotland. Hi, that's me! My passion lies in crafting exquisite book art sculptures, with a unique approach sets my work apart: I NEVER cut the books. Instead, I meticulously hand fold the pages of reclaimed, preowned, and vintage books to create stunning pieces of art. The only tool I use, is the edge of a teaspoon! 🌟 My Story: I reside in the rural village of Mosstodloch, surrounded by over 4,500 reclaimed books and an abundance of houseplants. Since 2014 I've worked from my cozy home studio, shared with Mr. No Books, Stewart, dogs, cats and even a house ferret!. My studio really is a creative haven, where folded book art comes to life.
