Hi I’m Jayda, founder of Ativo Skincare. At the age of 11, I found myself on a skin wellness journey. I was diagnosed with a hormonal condition that impacted my overall health and forced me to take a deeper look into the ingredients I was using on my skin. By, 13 I had developed a severe case of cystic acne that was exacerbated by my hormonal condition. Two dermatologists prescribed topical steroid creams, pills and suggested treatments and serums that left me with skin more sensitive and irritated than ever. After these failures, I felt compelled to create a product for myself that would soothe my sensitive and irritated skin. Today Ativo is a clean beauty brand that develops for every skin type but most importantly we are sensitive skin care experts. We are leading the way in Canada with education, skin care knowledge and using ingredients that are sensitive skin friendly. Read their story
