About Klara Skincare

My name is Klara Valko, the founder of Bio-Mimetic Cosmetics the manufacturer of Klara Skincare products. My journey has begun as a pharmacist in my home city of Budapest preparing a wide range of prescription medicines. My family and my career thrived in the UK 31 year ago. I worked as a principal scientist at GSK. I developed a revolutionary process to calculate how drugs absorb and distribute in various organs. This included the prediction of skin absorption of therapeutic compounds. After 22 years, 120 research papers and two books I retired from GSK in 2015. I was eager to establish my own laboratory. One of my clients asked me to predict skin absorption of peptides against motoneuron diseases (ALS) and develop a formulation that could be used as a hand cream. This work gave me the idea that I could use the same technology to provide important peptide nutrients to the skin we lose by ageing. Do you know that the early signs of skin ageing are only 10 % due to genetic factors and the other 90% is to environmental factors? It is incredibly important to me that my creams are completely natural, bursting with natural or nature-derived ingredients, preferably organic ones. My products fight against all signs of skin ageing and target all possible symptoms (wrinkles, age spots, loss of elasticity) in a balanced way.
