KAIŌKO: Warmth of the Sun, Textures of the Earth The Origin KAIŌKO is the culmination of a life lived between the currents. Born from a childhood in South Africa and a decade spent as a scuba diving instructor in Thailand, my work is a return to the textures that shaped me. After years of silversmithing in the UK, I felt the pull to move away from the "hustle" of mass-produced jewellery and back toward a slower, more intentional flow. The Craft Each piece is handmade in my UK studio. I merge traditional silversmithing with raw, organic materials—porous coconut beads, hand-carved wood, recycled glass beads and warm brass. These are living materials that carry a history and a soul. The Commitment KAIŌKO is rooted in a global community. We source our organic materials directly from artisan partners in Africa and Asia. To ensure these traditional crafts continue to thrive, 5% of every sale is donated back into a fund that helps our artisan partners purchase tools and sustain their heritage.
