We are on a mission to educate people to choose kind, and celebrate being different! I originally started Derr & Co. because my husband is a hat junkie, and I wanted a style for my little man to match him. Everything changed when my little girl was born. We realized very early on that her right side of her face was not moving as well as her left. She ended up being born without her 7th cranial nerve, which causes permeant facial palsy. We now have to keep a hat on her at all times in the sun as she cannot fully close that right eye. A hat is something that saves her eye from going blind, but a hat is an essential for all littles. This is why we created baby hats for style & function for all littles. All our hats now say CHOOSE KIND, as we hope that anyone who picks up a Derr hat will be inspired to choose kind. Derr & Co.
