More than 600 years ago, when the Ottoman Empire flourished and the Turkish hammam baths served as social meeting places, Peshtemal, a thin-woven towel, was used to cover the body. Today, the hammam towel is used as a beach towel or beach and yoga towel, as a sarong and baby blanket, as a scarf, tablecloth or to decorate with. It is easy to carry and have lying around in the car, boat, or when camping. And it's beautiful to look at. As beautiful as 600 years ago.
