I’m Amanda Jaten, the hands and heart behind Awakening Alice. For years I created malas and intentional jewelry under the name "MeraKalpa Malas", a brand that carried me through countless festivals, yoga gatherings, and creative seasons of my life. When my daughter was born, I chose to step back and scale down so I could be fully present with her. Now, I am re-emerging with a fresh vision—Awakening Alice—a brand that reflects both my evolution and the journey of awakening we are all on. Every piece is personally handmade by me in Colorado, using natural gemstones, durable knotting, and Thai silver and gold vermeil charms. Each design is infused with story, symbolism, and intention—whether it’s aligning with the chakras, celebrating a season, or offering a daily reminder of courage and self-connection.
