My name is Leonie Lynch and I am the sole entrepreneur driving this business that is Juspy. The idea for Juspy came when I was weaning my first daughter was 10 months old. I was in my mother’s house searching her larder for a pack of baby formula. I remember looking at the box that said, ‘every bit of nourishment your baby needs in one go’, and I thought, hang on a second I need that! At the time I was in the middle of writing up my PhD and I was exhausted. Nourishment for my baby was top of my list but like most busy individuals doing the ‘juggle struggle’ I put my needs right at the bottom. I was completely nutrient depleted, and sleep deprived. I was sugar loaded and using coffee as my saviour so that I could keep up appearances. As a movement coach I knew I should be doing better but I was too tired to care. I had the knowledge, I just didn’t have the energy. Years after having my kids now 5 and 8 I am more tired and busier than ever. My need for sweet nourishment to defend my body against life still exists. Juspy is there to give anyone that is health conscious a treat while filling their bodies with nourishment. Juspy’s goal is to change the current perception of health from a guilt filled choice of good or bad. We believe health is about being good to yourself; being true to yourself and honouring the changing moments in your life. We want to help people strike the right balance between guilty pleasures and goodness. To have your cake and eat it.
