THE STORY Nubes de Mazapan (marzipan clouds in Spanish) was born in 2012 from an idea by Michelangelo Citro. Drawing on a play on words that refers to childhood dreams, the "non-form" shape of clouds and marzipan, Nubes de Mazapan connects the stories of Michelangelo and his family, and the artisanal tradition. The idea of rediscovering the Italian manufacturing tradition, the materials, and the processes of the oldest districts, combining them with experimental lines. "This and more is the DNA of my company. A journey back to our roots in the distant lands from which we depart and arrive, just as we have done."
