About Kuhdoo Soap

In 2013, Founder and CEO Kaysha Kosman learned the art of soapmaking from a third-generation Texas soap maker. She fell in love with the process of creating high-quality products from ingredients made by Mother Nature. That same fall, seven months pregnant and unexpectedly laid off from corporate America, Kaysha’s life took a sharp turn—one that would prove to be the best thing that ever happened. She decided to take a leap and give soapmaking a real shot. Kuhdoo (pronounced kuh-doo) was born from a playful phrase Kaysha coined after bumping her knee—“Oh, my kuh-nee!”—which evolved into a family language of resilience, humor, and determination. When it came time to name her soap company, the answer was simple: let’s Kuhdoo it. What started in her kitchen grew under pop-up tents at farmers markets across Austin, Texas, where years of hard work built a loyal customer base and strong brand recognition. Kuhdoo’s growth has always been grassroots—roll-up-your-sleeves, make-lemonade-from-life’s-lemons kind of work. Today, Kuhdoo has a brick-and-mortar storefront in Llano, Texas, and is carried in over 1,000 retail locations nationwide.
