About TwistOut®

Jutta Jertrum grew up in Germany and now lives with her family in Switzerland. She is the inventor and founder of TwistOut®. The product was created out of necessity. Your shower drain was bad. In search of a simple and functional solution, she came up with the idea of the spiral wooden stick, which was supposed to work like a corkscrew. The first prototype then actually revealed the inside of her drain. In 2017, she filed for a patent and brought the drain rod to the market. Today, the TwistOut is available in stores in 6 countries. This sustainable problem solver won the German Innovation Award and was nominated for the Green Product Award and for the Federal Eco Award. TwistOut is made in Germany with certified beech wood and packaged plastic-free in a workshop for people with disabilities. Read their story
