About Lina Rosa Jewelry

Lina Rosa jewelry is designed and handmade by Paulina ‘Pepi’ Rodriguez. She's a self-taught bead weaver, whose child hood fascination with fine jewelry making led to a full-time endeavor. Her one-of-a-kind, worldly inspired works are made with delicate seed beads and fine thread. Paulina may spend anywhere from one to 20 hours threading individual beads, depending on the size and complexity of her design. As of 2022, Rodriguez has introduced metal-fabrication into her work, exploring the relationship between hand-fabricated metalwork and bead-weaving. All pieces are handmade in Rodriguez’s home studio, based in Charleston, SC. The name ‘Lina Rosa’ derives from her grandmothers’ names and ethnicity - Lina, for her grandmother Pauline who immigrated to America from Poland when she was 2 years old - and Rosa, for her Puerto Rican grandmother, Matilda, who loved roses.
