Gourds are inedible fruits of the Cucurbitaceae family, which have the particularity of hardening as they dry, until they take on the appearance of wood. Each bottle is emptied, cleaned, sanded, painted and varnished by hand. The small holes of different diameters that allow light to pass through are then drilled one by one using an electric drill.
