About Bia Watches Bia believes that every woman possesses a power within that pushes her toward her objective and the raw energy to help her achieve goals and empower other women. Named for the Greek Goddess who personifies power and raw energy, Bia was founded on three pillars - the brand name and story behind this, its superior illumination system, and most important, its philanthropic element, since it was conceived expressly to help support the women's empowerment movement with donations from every sale to organizations that foster Bia principles. The company strives to shed light on women’s issues of equality, discrimination and harassment. Bia is also deeply dedicated to giving back. A percentage of every Bia timepiece purchased is earmarked for organizations that work to give women the support they need to be healthy, educated, independent, protected and valued. Bia was developed by watch industry veteran Barry Cohen, and former owner and CEO of the Swiss-made watch company Luminox. which was responsible for making the official watch of the Navy SEALs and established Luminox as a global brand in the 1990’s.
