A Podiatrist & a Pediatrician walked into a bar...and 20 years later created the best shoes for your children's developing feet. Jonathan Schofield has been a state-registered Podiatrist in the United Kingdom for over 20 years. He completed a Master’s Degree entitled “The Development of Walking and the Effect of Different Footwear” and went on to study footwear design at Parsons School of Design in New York City. Laura Santos is a Board-certified Pediatrician and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. As professionals and as parents, Jonathan and Laura saw the lack of quality options on the market and identified with how difficult it could be to find the right footwear for a child, for a parent on the go. Their combined understanding of biomechanics, normal growth and development, and preventative medicine led to the development of an optimally-designed shoe that is lightweight, flexible, and as close to barefoot as possible. In addition, they created and perfected the innovative Fields Footwear Clear View Sole, which provides a "window to the sole" so that parents can actually see their child’s foot in their shoes, eliminating all guesswork.
