About Bodega Palacio de Lerma

"Forgotten Treasures" is the name we give to our vineyard recovery project. Through this project, we recover ancestral vineyards that are forgotten because their owners cannot or do not have descendants who can continue working them. We take care of them and, with sustainable agriculture, we nurture them to produce the traditional grapes. They are true treasures, as they contain different mixed varieties of century-old vines, bush-trained vineyards with irregular rows, and very limited productions. From these vineyards, which in most cases are in marginal production areas, high-altitude areas, surrounded by mountains and nature, we harvest the grapes to make our most radical wines, our Radikalwines, which are wines that aim to reflect the typicity of the area in the most evident, most radical way. We produce micro-vinifications from plots and extreme vineyards (marginal areas), high-altitude vineyards, seeking radicality as an element of identity. I want my wines to taste like the extreme landscape they come from. I want unusual, extraordinary wines for minorities rather than common wines that are drinkable for the majority.Read their story
