Chic Sparrow was born on Jennifer Harvey’s kitchen table in 2014. Soon the kitchen was taken over by leather, tools, and dye, and then business moved to the garage. Only 5 weeks later, she leased commercial space and her husband, Mark, quit his corporate job so they could build Chic Sparrow together. Today, we’ve come a long way from that kitchen table covered in leather and string. Chic Sparrow is now the largest manufacturer of handmade leather notebooks in North America. Chic Sparrow has grown to include hand-crafted leather goods, handbags, and paper inserts, plus an online community of travelers notebook devotees. Responsible stewardship and quality are our core values, so we use only full grain leather from cows that were used for food. “Our lives are very much like leather,” says Jennifer. “Tough, flexible, scarred, and full of rich memories.”
