“Our soap parlor overlooks the quiet countryside of Fayette County, Texas. The recipe comes from my grandmother, who won County Fair blue ribbons year after year for her lard rendering and butter making from raw Jersey cow’s milk. She showed me that real ingredients, handled simply, make the best things. Years later, a local regenerative meat farmer asked me to turn his lard reserve into soap. I said yes. Our first customer was that farmer. Our second was our local dairy farmer’s wife. And that’s how Plain Jane was born. Today, we carry that same spirit forward with simple, pure ingredients—pasture-rendered tallow, lard, a living buttermilk culture, and sulphur spring water. Quiet bars.
