Lulu Baydoun is a mother to two young boys and a certified yoga instructor (RYT500). Lulu found yoga 15 years ago as a tool to help her manage a chronic pain. Since her yoga teacher training in San Francisco a decade ago, she became obsessed with learning more about the chakras (inner energy sources) and how to bring more awareness to her inner world in order to create balance her my life. Her long passion for design and creativity along with her yoga studies inspired her to create Modern Malas, an intentional, and inner energy inspired jewelry brand. What sets Modern Malas apart from other jewelry brands is the intention and energy based design linking specific charms with the relevant gemstones that support the intent. Unlike traditional malas, Modern Malas come in single or double wrap bracelets, making them more functional and simple to wear in our day to day active lives.
