About NONI DESIGN

Born in Indonesia to a family of accomplished artists and designers, I too found myself drawn to art and design. I moved to Providence to attend Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) where I received my Bachelor’s degree in Architecture. After a successful career in Architecture, my daughters inspired me to return to my roots and design jewelry like my grandmother. From creating jewelry for my girls from sticks, bark and flowers when they were toddlers, to creating geometric constructs from paper, plastic and metal when they grew older, I’ve always noticed how much joy jewelry gives them. Creating jewelry for my girls was one of the most meaningful times of my life. In May of 2018, I started Noni, named after the Indonesian term of endearment for “girl.” I dedicated and created this company for my two daughters. I strive to make high fashion jewelry that makes women feel chic and confident. By tapping into my architectural roots, I translate the symmetry, geometric patterns and mathematical sequencing that I see in the world into clean, modern designs. As a designer and small business owner, I am extremely passionate about each piece I create, and treat each piece as a work of art. I personally make sure that every collection is luxurious, unique and well thought out. All of our pieces are limited production, so the quality and design intention is never compromised or mass produced. Read their story
