Mirus Toys strives to create toys that combine science and art, toys that are inspired by nature and nurtures the natural curiosity of the child, toys that grow with them, toys that are not only educational but are beautiful, toys that are meticulously designed and crafted with attention to detail, toys that can be passed on to generations. Mirus means wonderful in Latin. As the mother of two young children I get to witness the wonder of childhood discovery every day. A caterpillar crawling across a green leaf or a stone skipping on water, they are mostly taken for granted by adults. These same events for children raise endless questions and hours of engagement. The most interesting and impactful adults I know maintain this fascination. With Mirus Toys, I hope to allow more children to retain their sense of wonder and nurture it to greater heights by allowing them to explore and understand the natural world in an intuitive and fun way. Every product is made to order and made by me and my team in the beautiful Pacific Northwest in the city of Vancouver, WA. Our small team comprises of 5 women. All our toys made from American hardwoods. We also take pride in our no plastic, recycled and recyclable packaging.
