Oday Shakar, celebrity red carpet gown and couture designer, launched his new sportswear collection for women inspired by the influencers of the modern modesty movement, his Iraqi-American heritage, and the fashion forward women of Manhattan and Brooklyn, New York. ODAY brings together the flattering sihllouettes of Mr. Shakar's runway shows at New York Fashion Week with a fresh take on what modesty means to the cosmopolitan upwardly mobile women of today. "The women I grew up with in California chose to express their beauty by blending their modest cultural heritage with a fresh American twist". Shakar's career began in Los Angeles where he dressed Sandra Bullock and Kelly Clarkson with his own couture red carpet gowns. Shakar is also known as the designer of the iconic Von Dutch trucker hat worn by Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie during the 2000's.
