About Deb Almond Art

I'm an artist inspired by Reproductive Justice, protest art from around the world, strong women who demand to be heard, visual messages of unity and hope, family life, and my own mental health. I was born and raised in London and moved to the US in 2014. My mum was an art teacher and to become an artist was my dream too, but I put my paints and pencils down in my early 20's to pursue a career in public health. For a decade my work in sexual and reproductive health led me all over the world, but as the years wore on I was forced to confront why my way of life had left me feeling more and more depleted. In January 2020, I made the decision to quit my day job and commit to my artistic business full time. I've lived in Washington, DC with my Michigander husband since 2014 and have two children. I'm a Londoner living in Washington, DC with my Michigander husband and two children.Read their story
