There I met groups with various disabilities, among other things I visited several lepracolonies and met people who were exposed to discrimination and ignorance on a daily basis that led to great difficulties in obtaining work and being able to support their families. Through the charity they were taught different types of crafts and thus were able to start supporting both themselves and their families. Those who had been seen as a burden on their families were now a steady source of income. I felt I wanted to continue my cooperation even after I went home to Sweden and continue working with one of the women's collectives. This is how we have FAIRLY. FAIRLY makes small quantities of bedding and home textiles, designed in Stockholm and currently sewn in Bāpatla, India. All products are made in well-selected materials of premium hemp, flax and lyocell. 10% of profits always go back to the seamstresses. - Josefine, founder of FAIRLY
