As strange as it seems, the idea for Moodie was built from a piece of burnt toast. I was in my kitchen making breakfast before a packed workday when I smelled it. After a mini meltdown, I pulled the rubble onto my plate and began mentally preparing myself to eat soot. That’s when something clicked. I didn’t have to eat this. I didn’t WANT to eat this! I decided I was going to make a new piece of toast because I wanted to feel good. When I’m telling you that I literally told my therapist about this moment, I am not exaggerating. I realized I had the ability to make ridiculously simple, conscious efforts to better my day. And this led me directly down a path of creating Moodie–minimal effort, feel good products that help elevate your mood and better your overall well-being. My hope is that Moodie can act as a self care product that doesn't require adding another item on your "to-do" list. All you need to do is set an intention for how you want to feel, and use the unique power of scent to cultivate your desired mood! Scent is one of the most powerful senses. By tapping into the emotional centers of the brain, the right combination of fragrances can evoke pleasant feelings and promote overall improvement in well-being. Each of our candles have been purposefully designed in order to evoke mood through the power of scent.
