Hi I'm Preston! I was born in Charlotte, NC on September 11th, 1988 and my creative journey began around the age of 5. I have been crafting and innovating since I can remember; projects like interior design, home decor, up-cycling furniture, re-purposing clothing, building furniture from scratch and moonlighting as a general contractor; eventually honing in on my niche as a jewelry designer in my early twenties! Fueled by a life surrounded by mountain air, I fell for the rich tones of nature and her magical endless movement. After college at Appalachian State University, I discovered just how intensely focused I was around neutral accessories and comfortable fashion. I design pieces that embrace natural beauty, elevating and extending our human movement. Ellison James is more than a rustic yet modern Boheme jewelry line; these pieces are genuine statements of a free spirit, encompassing a certain boldness in personality. My goal is to inspire authenticity and evoke positive emotion while wearing these comfortable & durable pieces. A percentage of every sale with Ellison James is donated to Mental Health America. I believe that any woman has the power to create her own future & design a life she loves though creativity. My work has been featured in multiple publications such as The Charlotte Observer, Scoop Charlotte, South Park Magazine & Charlotte Agenda. EJ was also highlighted as 'Top 10 Most Recognizable Gameday Brands' seen in the Bank of America Stadium in 2016!
