Pajama Pantry was born out of the first UK lockdown, when Alice's family were all at home doing online work and school. No one was getting dressed, and they were all wearing old holey pjs. She realised that everyone needed to upgrade their Zoomwear. She started making them all herself but quickly realised that she couldn't keep up with demand. People wanted to wear them as summer trousers as well as in bed! Something to do with the pockets maybe? Children and family friends have been very obliging models so far - paid in pjs or cake, depending on availability. Now the pjs are made at a FairTrade Women's Collective in Bangalore in VERY small runs. There are only 11 pairs in each fabric (across 5 sizes) so each batch is truly unique. All the scraps and offcuts are collected and turned into a wide range of gifts and accessories soon to be available for wholesale.
