About Alchemy Fashions

Thanks you for your interest in my fun & feminine, easy-fitting, ethically made clothing! Alchemy was born out of my love for the people, places, spirituality and fabrics of India! To produce my Collections, I have been working closely with the same small family-run businesses in India for more than two decades. Our businesses have grown together, on a foundation of friendship, trust and respect. I pay fair, living wages to my tailors, pattern makers, cutters and finishers, often double what others in the same area are paid. I ensure my staff have bright, safe work environments, regular hours, breaks and holidays. Alchemy fashions are easy-to-fit on a wide range of bodies. Many styles are loose fitting or bias cut, with optional belts. Several styles incorporate comfortable elastic in the waist, or have adjustable straps. Each year I introduce more organic cotton clothing to my Collection... more organic cotton blockprint coming soon! Alchemy gives back to several charities both in India and British Columbia, including the Fior di Loto Foundation in Rajasthan, India, providing an education for underprivileged girls, and feeding families in the village where my clothing is produced.
