About Carys Martin Ceramics
Carys Martin is an artist, ceramicist, and author inspired by folklore, nature, ancestral wisdom, and the landscapes of the British Isles. Originally from Cumbria in the north of England and now based in Queensland, Australia, Carys creates work that invites reflection, storytelling, and a deeper connection with the natural world. Her designs draw on woodland folklore, plant lore, seasonal traditions, and the enduring relationship between people and place. Created as a mother and daughter collaboration, Whispers From The Woods combines the original artwork of Marleen Morgans with the writing of Carys Martin. The collection includes a beautifully illustrated 48-card oracle deck and companion book inspired by the folklore and traditions of the British Isles. Alongside her oracle work, Carys creates small-batch handmade ceramics designed to bring beauty and meaning to everyday rituals. Each piece is crafted with care in her Queensland studio, celebrating the character and individuality of handmade work. Through both her ceramics and oracle creations, Carys seeks to preserve stories, traditions, and ways of connecting more deeply with nature and ourselves.
