Farhi is a family owned business, started in 2003 by Michael Farhi who saw a gap in the market for chocolate coated fruits and nuts that could be offered in a ready to give, gift packaging. With the help of a few key family members, they started selling locally to Independent traders. The Rita Farhi brand was born, aptly named after Michael Farhi’s grandmother – Rita Farhi. After 18 years of trading, today the brand has expanded with a team of 30 people and a warehouse in London selling to domestic and international markets. With a range of over a 1000 products, the brand continues to expand through innovation and product development. RJF Farhi started off with Rita Farhi, the chocolate coated fruit and nuts and then expanded into other confectionery ranges. The brand offer became so popular that high-end retailers approached the company to develop ranges in white label formats. Farhi’s ability to develop product and packaging ranges has proven to be a success and the PL business has grown significantly. Today, the Rita Farhi brand has grown into a wider range offering which covers vegan, vegetarian, palm oil free confectionery and a pantry range which includes oils, sauces, risotto, truffles, teas, coffees and much more.
