Our story began in 2012 with a couple friends selling hat pins and tees off a 6ft table in parking lots before and after concerts. In the 6 years since, we have been fortunate to work with legendary acts such as David Bowie and Pink Floyd, sponsor events all over the world, and collaborate with an incredible group of visual artists. We opened our first studio and flagship storefront in Chicago’s Wicker Park in 2016 to showcase our line of pins, apparel and accessories. In early 2019, we moved operations to Los Angeles. The Sloth Steady team has committed to a spirit of 'social entrepreneurism' and supports several charitable efforts. Since 2016, we have donated over $10,000 worth of clothing to Chicago area NPOs, and in 2018, we were able to donate over $12,500 to the Capital Area Humane Society of Lansing, MI. Beginning in 2019, roughly 5% of our employee's paid hours will be spent volunteering at LA's Midnight Mission. We want to change the world around us for the better. Our creative output is a representation of that. Do Less. Create More.
