Description
This oversized cloth can be used around the kitchen as a dishcloth/dishtowel. Six layers of mosquito net is super absorbent & the open weave makes it quick to dry! The fabric will shrink up & get softer as you use & wash it. The cloth is printed w/ pink flower blooms. 100% Cotton. Each dishcloth measures approx. 17" W x 17" H. Wash before first use. Machine wash cold separately in a delicates bag, line dry. No bleach. Will shrink when washed & be bunched up after washing/drying. However. it expands again when it gets wet. (After washing/drying measures approx. 11" sq. & when wet again for use expands to about 12 1/2" sq.) Cloths have a tied on hang tag. There may be small smudges in the print on the cloth on arrival due to the open weave texture of the fabric. The print does not bleed when washed, but may appear smudged significantly in certain areas after use & from washing/drying. It is most likely from the layers shifting around and the print becoming mis-aligned (see photo).

I love the unique and sweet gifts and home goods. The little vege dishes are a nice seller and I love the plaud dish towels!

Love the color and shopping experience overall. None of these have sold unfortunately, so that's what I'm basing my rating on.

These are best sellers in stores who sell other Japanese products so their customers are already familiar with “Kaya.” Or, have staff that is able to share the selling features - this layered netted fabric has been made in Japan since the 700’s, premium quality, durable, highly absorbent, quick drying, gets softer and softer with each use, can be used for washing or drying dishes, cleaning, or wiping up spills, etc. While beautiful on a store shelf, these would be a hurdle for a store to sell without existing familiarity by customers or staff imparting product knowledge since they are not a typical kitchen cloth in fabrication, style, or price. Hope you find this helpful, but also note this is your first purchase with fort & field on Faire, which means you are able to return products which you find don’t fit your assortment or customer base. —fort & field • Oct 29, 2025
