Grown in the majestic Ali Mountains, located in Chiayi County, Taiwan, Ali Mountain tea benefits from a unique terroir. At an altitude of about 2,000 meters, the cool and misty climate, sunny days, and fertile volcanic soils provide ideal conditions for cultivating this exceptional tea. The origins of Ali Mountain tea cultivation date back to the late 19th century, when Han immigrants from China's Fujian province introduced semi-oxidized tea plants. In the early 20th century, the Japanese helped modernize tea garden management methods, thereby improving the quality of the tea, which gained international fame in 1976 under the name "Commemorative Oolong."
