Quinoa is a herbaceous plant native to South America, also widely used in Italy as an alternative to rice. The organic white quinoa from Oltresole, in the convenient 5 kg package, comes from selected and certified organic crops, perfect for a healthy and balanced diet. Rich in plant proteins and essential amino acids, quinoa stands out for its high nutritional value with a low fat content. It contains fiber, vitamins C and E, magnesium, potassium, iron, and omega 3 and 6 fatty acids, making it ideal for vegetarian, vegan, and low-calorie diets. The white variety, compared to the red or black one, has a more delicate taste and is suitable for many preparations. Before use, it is recommended to rinse the grains well under running water to remove the naturally present saponins. For optimal cooking: lightly toast the grains in a pan, bring to a boil, and cook on low heat for 10–12 minutes, until absorbed.
