Beeswax... What a miracle!  Did you know that beeswax is made from flower nectar? Yes, beeswax is made from the nectar that bees make honey from. The wax is formed into scales by eight wax-producing glands in the abdominal segments of worker bees which discard it in or at the hive. The hive workers collect and use it to form the hexagonal cells for honey storage and larval and pupal protection within the beehive.  When we harvest the honey or melt down old expired frames from the beehive, there is a bi-product of beeswax that remains. We then purify this beeswax through a 24 hour slow simmer cycle, removing all of the solids from the oil.  We then set this wax into 10Kg blocks, later rendering it down into smaller, more manageable sizes.
